Shantala is a traditional Indian massage, passed down from generation to generation. It is part of the routine care of many babies in India and across the world. When we massage a baby, we are connecting to him or her in a different way, utilizing the language of touch, sight, and love. In this way, we help the baby in his or her emotional development to feel safer, more confidant, and loved—strengthening the relationship between parent and child. It also reestablishes the natural balance of the baby’s body, helping to alleviate muscle tensions, pains, stomach aches, infant acid reflux, constipation, and appetite problems.
Course available in English, Español, or Português.
